Silver Regional Review

Editorial policy

Silver Regional Review aims to make regional material culture clear, specific and fair. We separate explanation from interpretation, check factual claims, and correct meaningful errors openly.

Accuracy and context

We check names, terminology and factual claims against reliable sources appropriate to the subject. Articles should make clear when a point is an interpretation rather than an established fact, and avoid treating one example as representative of an entire region. Where evidence is uncertain or incomplete, we say so rather than filling gaps with confident wording.

Independence and contributions

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. Contributors should disclose relevant interests that could affect how a subject is presented. Material supplied by a partner does not receive favourable editorial treatment in return for a placement or collaboration.

Corrections and labels

If an article contains a substantive error, we correct it and make the change clear to readers. Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independently edited coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as such, and they are not presented as documentary evidence.

Our point of view

Materials tell a regional story

A place is not defined by its map alone. Look at what people make, build and keep using, and notice how materials carry local knowledge.
